Can anybody fill in the blanks where the question marks are?
The names were furnished by Vance (Dickie) Jacobs and Sandra
Riley Newman for both of the above photos.
Sandra added this note: Betty Sue Ayers passed away in 1976.
Vance added this note in his email to me:
Note: In the sixth grade photo, James Ryder, Myself, and
Charles Rigsby have no shoes. At Tyrrell I never wore shoes
unless I was forced to ( I did wear cowboy boots in the 5th
grade photo.) On my first day at Woodrow Wilson I was sent
to the principals office for not having shoes thus ending my
shoeless school days.
On a much sadder note I see from our memorial list that out
of my Tyrrell School classmates, James Ryder, Larry Guidry,
Ronald Doty, Charles Hoffpauir, Henry Clausen, Rose Mary Rummel,
Anna Ray Scott and possibly some others that did not finish
TJ with us are now deceased. Seeing those faces on these
photos is bitter sweet. As long as we remember them they
can be a part of us.
