I remember Paul Kibbe once called me Josie Bow and Arrow. The class howled. Fortunately the name didn't stick. 4. Your email address. Your occupation or if you are retired, what was your occupation? Still teaching piano. 7. If you are retired, what are you doing now? Are you kidding? I'm too young to retire! I'm still teaching piano and will be till someone wraps me up in cold wet sheets an leads me from the bench. How could anyone quit after 3l years? 8. Your hobbies and/or pastimes. Traveling, Spending time with family, shopping, cooking, making tamales. and my favorite: Going to Port Arthur! 9. How many children do you have and where do they live? 2 sons and 4 stepchildren. 10. How many grandchildren do you have? l granddaughter and 4 step grandchildren. 11. Did you hold an office while in high school, participate in sports, the band, the Hussars, etc.? No, but after a few years I realized band might've been interesting. 12. What were your aspirations when you were in high school? Studying ballet at Juliard's. Well, I was only l4. My mother had a dream ...Miss Coleman was a great mentor. 13. Did you accomplish most of the goals you set for yourself back then or did you alter your direction? Never really set very many goals, actually. I was in my early 20's when I realized that there had to be life after working at Stedman Marine and Standard Brass. 14. What was your favorite song during your high school days? Little Darlin' Earth Angel 15. What was your favorite movie back then? The King and I. Toss up between Strand and Village. 16. What were your favorite hangouts? i.e. The Beehive, the movies, the drive in, Pleasure Pier, etc. Movie Theatres, Skating rink, swimming at the Pleasure Pier, Teen Age Club, Friends' houses, Rettig's. 17. Do you have photos of any of these events? I probably do, but I'd have to get someone with heavy equipment to unearth them. 18. What was your favorite subject in high school and why? English. English anad spelling seemed to come natural to me. 19. Who was your favorite teacher or was there a teacher who inspired you? Mrs. Moore, 7th grade. She once told me I had the I.Q. of a senior in English. 20. What was your most embarrassing moment or your worst nightmare during high school years? The day I got caught playing hookie. There were 6 of us. We planned it well....so we thought. Next day I was called to the office of Girls' Advisor, Mrs. McLaughlin where I was preached a lengthy lesson. Numbed with fright, I thought I'd die. I still remember the date....March 4, l954. (webmaster note: Oh my, what a memory!) 21. Where did you meet your mate if you are married? (not necessary to include previous mates if you are divorced or separated) Friends introduced us on a blind date. We went to dinner at a Port Arthur restaurant and then to a movie. 22. Keep it brief and you do not have to share, you don’t have to have anything you would do differently either. It's hard to say. I've yet to meet a person who wouldn't have done some things differently. 25. If you could go anywhere in the world and be any thing you wanted to be at this stage of the game, where would you go and what would you do and why? I'm drawing a blank on this one except that I'd like to spend more time with my children and granddaughter in Florida but I still wanna be where I am. Make sense? 26. If you could go back to our high school days, which year would you go back to and why? Considering our high school days were 1954 to 1958 including Woodrow Wilson Jr. High years. '54 and '55. These seemed to be the most carefree years. 27. Is there anything in particular you would like to see on this website? I'd probably be happy with just about anything. 28. Do you have any photos of yourself then and now? If you don’t know how to scan or don’t have a scanner, would you be willing to send copies of the photos so I can scan them for use in the website? Yes to both of the above. 29. How computer literate are you? Do you need help with any of this computer stuff? I won’t mind helping. I give a simple step- by-step list of how to. I'm not talking instructions, just help if needed. Prepare yourself for a real pest! I sure didn't know you took DE. I remember you but not in the DE class. 30.
