Vision Walk
Update on The Vision Walk that took place on November 1, 2008.
Carolyn,
Over $26,000.00 was raised for the Houston Walk. Eddie was able
to raise $1138.00 from his donors which he was very proud of.
It was a beautiful day and everyone was encouraged for the walk
and for cures that may be available within the next 5 years.
Eddie's team won 1st place for the shirts we had.
It's so sad to see so many young people with this disease and
struggling w/life and to see and try to be a part of things.
I wish the Houston branch would grow and get more involved
like a lot of other large cities do. This is a start anyway.

VisionWalk is the signature fundraising event for the Foundation
Fighting Blindness (FFB). FFB is a national eye research organization
that is dedicated to providing treatments and cures for people
affected by retinal degenerative diseases.

When we evacuated for hurricane Ike my external
drive did not survive the trip. This company restored
my files and placed them on a new portable external drive.
WOW! They have a protection plan which I will be posting
about in the near future along with their logo. It's more
economical to purchase a protection plan than it is for the
cost of paying for the recovery I guarantee. But it was
well worth it. We have plenty of pictures of our house pre
hurricane Ike to prove these damages were not here.
