Entrance to TJHS 1958 email list

We've come a long way from the days of two cans and string, crystal radios, phone booths, and black rotary dial phones.

Do you remember paying only a nickle to make a call? Do you remember having only one phone in the home? Do you remember the days of three party lines? Do you remember the days of paying a dime for a call? Do you remember the days of operator assisted calls for no fee? Do you remember the fad of cramming phone booths? Gals, do you remember sitting by the phone waiting for that special beaux to call? Guys, do you remember actually calling when you said you would call a gal?

The Enter button is at the bottom of the page. The email list is pass gate (password) protected via this page. The purpose of the email list is to provide a means of communicating with someone we may have lost contact with or have many times wish we knew where someone is. Please do not use it for mass mailing. Before you send cutesy messages, jokes, warnings about a child missing, etc. please consider the following: 1.) Would I take the time to make copies, to address envelopes, put stamps on all the envelopes, and mail them? 2.) Would I place a local or a long distance call and share the information? 3.) Is it for real or a hoax? These sites are linked. Urban Legends Snopes, Urban Legends (not the same) Break the Chain (Letters) 4.) Before you send a "chain letter" please visit Netlore. 5.) Am I communicating with these people on a regular basis and therefore know their likes and dislikes? FWIW department: It's nice to occassionally receive such "thoughtful" mail, however, we have a guestbook where messages regarding a new virus or other tips may be posted. Please make use of this feature.

On the other side of the coin, should you receive mail that offends or that you prefer not to receive: 1.) Please have the common courtesy to simply reply to ONLY the person who sent it to you and state simply you prefer not to receive such mail. Nothing else is needed. 2.) Please do NOT address such a reply to the entire mailing list. That is rather offensive and very distastful. If this list is abused, the password will be changed. FWIW department: Other class websites have email addresses open to the public. That may not be a safe thing to do as any person who does searches on the internet may accidently come across these lists. In that manner, our information can be used for SPAM. Please protect and respect our privacy. Thank you, mahalo, golly gee whiz tanx fer y'all bein' so unnerstan'in' !!! As for email to me: please keep it class related or personal. I receive email from people literally all over the world due to the many websites and poems I have posted on the web. I always reply personally. That means I sometimes receive hundreds of emails daily, weekly, monthly. Thanks.
