Your occupation or if you are retired, what was your occupation? Administrative Assistant in the Trust Department of Hibernia National Bank, Beaumont, Tx. 7. If you are retired, what are you doing now? Not retired...don't know when/if I will retire... 8. Your hobbies and/or pastimes. Oh my...walking...reading...writing...all kinds of artsy craftsy types of things... I'm a volunteer at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont...participant in the American Cancer Society's Annual Relay for Life, the Reading Is Fundamental program at one of the local elementary schools, and the annual Beaumont Paint-a-Thon, a program that assigns a group of folks to completely paint the home of a, oh, low income family. The house is painted in one day...great fun! I recently joined the Red Hussar Alumni Association and marched in the Mardi Gras parade... what a hoot! 9. How many children do you have and where do they live? I have two sons - Jason Dale Warren who is 29 and lives here in Beaumont, but will be moving back to Houston in the very near future, and Joshua Stedman Warren, 26, who is also here in Beaumont but will be moving to Nashville, TN in a couple of months. 10. How many grandchildren do you have? My first one is on his way...God willing he'll arrive sometime the latter part of June! He will be Joshua's and I can hardly believe my good fortune! My sons are adopted - they are biological brothers, but we did not get them until they were 6 and 3...so I prayed for a little boy...just like his Dad... and so it will be! It'll be the nearest thing to seeing and holding my son as a baby. Great Big :-) 11. Did you hold an office while in high school, participate in sports, the band, the Hussars, etc.? Among other things I was in the Hussars...great times... 12. What were your aspirations when you were in high school? College and teach... 13. Did you accomplish most of the goals you set for yourself back then or did you alter your direction? Well, my direction was altered...several times...didn't graduate from college...so no teaching...but I'm always setting goals... 14. What was your favorite song during your high school days? Didn't have ONE...liked anything by Buddy Holly...the Platters... Johnny Mathis...any show tunes... 15. What was your favorite movie back then? "Singing in the Rain"... 16. What were your favorite hangouts? i.e. The Beehive, the movies, the drive in, Pleasure Pier, etc. The Crown Drive-In after making the Drag... 17. Do you have photos of any of these events? Nope 18. What was your favorite subject in high school and why? English and history... 19. Who was your favorite teacher or was there a teacher who inspired you? My favorite teacher was not a school teacher...she was my piano teacher...Mrs. Bussey...Lora Mae Bussey's grandmother. I can remember so well sitting at that big piano, my feet swinging way above the floor, and Mrs. Bussey sitting beside me listening to me play and ever so gently correcting me...I loved going to her big house filled with all those antiques...sitting at the card table in the "den" completing my theory lessons and then at the grand, or was it a baby grand, piano for practice lessons...there was no way I'd ever make it as a pianist, but Mrs. Bussey didn't care... she was patient and kind, and as a result, I have a wonderful memory of those times, and an understanding and great appreciation for music. She truly enriched my life. (webmaster note: I dearly love this response, so sweet.) 20. What was your most embarrassing moment or your worst nightmare during high school years? You're kiddin', right? I was the most shy bashful kid in high school and you want me to list ONE embarrassing moment or ONE WORST nightmare?! 'Don't think so... (webmaster note: It's refreshing to be so honest. I love it!) 21. Where did you meet your mate if you are married? (not necessary to include previous mates if you are divorced or separated) We were introduced by a mutual friend at a party in Houston. Larry was a salesman with an oilfield service company and I was working for an oil company at the time...we married six months to the day after our first date and were together for 25+ years before he passed away in September 2000. 22. Do you know of any classmates who are deceased? If so, please relay the information so it can be added to a memorial page. No, I think you know all the ones I know. 23. What are your favorite websites. Please list no more than three and please no "Adult" sites. Gosh...don't really have any favorites... 24. If you could change history, what would you do differently if anything at all? Keep it brief and you do not have to share, you don’t have to have anything you would do differently either. Change the world's history...don't think so...change my life's history... don't think so there either. I've had, am having, a great life... I have a wonderful family...If I died this moment, I would die happy... I've done some really fun things...had some wonderful times...have some friends who love and accept me just as I am...had so many blessings and prayers answered -- prayers of pain and dispair answered by miracles -- met so many wonderful people... had two extraordinary men in my life... reared two wonderfully kind, loving sons, and expecting a super grandson ;-)...nope...I wouldn't change a thing! 25. If you could go anywhere in the world and be any thing you wanted to be at this stage of the game, where would you go and what would you do and why? I'm happy being me...right now...it's enough. I'm looking forward to going to Nashville to meet my grandson...I would like some time within the next couple of years to go to Ireland to meet/find some kin, find my roots... 26. If you could go back to our high school days, which year would you go back to and why? Considering our high school days were 1954 to 1958 including Woodrow Wilson Jr. High years. 1958...It was fun, fun, fun...and way too fast and brief!! 27. Is there anything in particular you would like to see on this website? Pictures, pictures, pictures... 28. Do you have any photos of yourself then and now? If you don’t know how to scan or don’t have a scanner, would you be willing to send copies of the photos so I can scan them for use in the website? I have a few...and I'll see what I can do about getting them to you. 29. How computer literate are you? Do you need help with any of this computer stuff? I won’t mind helping. I give a simple step- by-step list of how to. I'm not talking instructions, just help if needed. Oh...so/so...I get by...with a lot of help from my sons. 30. Three part question: your favorite color, favorite number, and your favorite movie of all time. Color - the one that looks best on me at the time :-)... favorite number? 7; and favorite movie of all time has to be "To Kill a Mockingbird" (also my favorite book) image of the book to kill a mockingbird
